From what I've seen, even the Mac OS X installer still prompts for date and time. But the nice trick that both the newer Windows installers and the OS X installer does is that it pre-defaults your timezone based on your current 'geographic location' which I'm guessing is derived from your current IP address and accessibility to a geo-location server of some sort. In fact, I believe they also have the ability to automatically switch time zones based on your 'location'. Cheers, -- Shawn Walker
