Just some "explicitness" on my part of where I want the file to end up.
The code would work without "." if you find it misleading.

I did. My thoughts were:
a) It's easier to find in "/", particularly on USB media
b) I thought there might be some value to keeping a copy of the default
manifest that was built-in to the iso unmodified.
