 Thanks for taking a look!!

Thanks for doing this. Most of what's there looks good but I think we have missed a few things involving some pkg transform voodoo:

usr/src/pkg/Makefile:

/200/ PM_TRANSFORMS= publish restart_fmri defaults extract_metadata \
/201/ disable_depend_checks

Line 201 above should be removed from the PM_TRANSFORMS definition

Also:

usr/src/pkg/transforms/disable_depend_checks

This should be deleted since its only sets a dependency bypass for pybootmgmt.
You're right, all the stuff in there is gone, so it should clearly go as well.

 Fixed, webrev updated.

Looks good to me now :-)

I don't know if the pkg bug it refers to still exists. If so you
should probably double check > to see if you need to include this workaround in your ON addition of pybootmgmt

I certainly didn't run into anything in my testing. Does anyone know where I'd look for the reference?

I wish I knew. The pkg(5) and ON force is weak with me. I only recalled that this workaround step was added by Sanjay during the original integration of pbbootmgmt into install so I new to look out for it upon removal.

BTW, when does the slim_source gate cut over to build 7? This certainly shouldn't go back before. :)
It would normally be on the 27th but I am going to try to tag slim_source for build 6 tonight. So you should be all set tomorrow. I'll follow up with an e-mail to give you the all clear if that suits you?

Thanks!

Hi, I just pushed pybootmgmt into (build 7 of) the ON gate. The other half is ripping it out of the install gate. Here's a webrev for this:

The final thing to note is that this is a one-way flag day. You'll need the new ON bits in order to move the install bits forward.
