  Absolutely.  The server is backward-compatible.  We're talking about running 
on (booting) the kernel of the release that does not match the release you're 
trying to install.  We're not talking about whether the AI server will work to 
install older (or newer) releases.  But, now that you brought it up, there will 
be no problem.  An AI server upgrade will be required to install S11 Update 1 
(if you want to use installadm; there are ways around that if you have to run 
your install server on an S10 or non-Solaris system).
