Seth,

How about using an S11.1 AI server to install S11 FCS? Is that, or
will that be, a supported scenario?

Absolutely. The server is backward-compatible. We're talking about
running on (booting) the kernel of the release that does not match the
release you're trying to install. We're not talking about whether the AI
server will work to install older (or newer) releases. But, now that you
brought it up, there will be no problem. An AI server upgrade will be
required to install S11 Update 1 (if you want to use installadm; there
are ways around that if you have to run your install server on an S10 or
non-Solaris system).

Ahem.

None of the scenarios with a non-Solaris 11 server are supported, and no statement made here be construed as supporting that in any way.
