Better sell expertise, set up, adaptation, customization of code, rather than code itself.
The MIT license is on cake not on your code. All the code you write (models, controller, views, etc) is on your own copyright or on your company's copyright if you produced it on your work time. So people are free to copy, modify, distribute cake, but NOT your code based on cake.
