hi all, for me it's time to set up a testing or development copy of my app on the live server.
i found it surprisingly easy to just copy "app" to "alpha" in the root directory, and fool around with the alpha version. both apps share the cake core. now i'm wondering how to hide the "alpha" version from normal users... Should i employ an auth mechanism or can i utilize .htaccess files ? Maybe the subdomain approach is better ?
