Hey all,

Andrea is right on about the Caledonian being and Irish Set Dance.

Thought people might find this entertaining. From Irish Dances, ed.
by Terry Moylan:

"The Caledonian is the most widely danced set in County Clare, with
several versions in existence there, and a few in other parts of the
country. The differences between them can be slight, but enough to
cause confusion should one enter a set and attempt to dance a
different version from the rest of the dancers. Common courtesy, as
well as common sense, would suggest that visitors establish how a set
is danced in any locality before participating themselves." (1984)

Sorry for the diversion. Just thought it might be of interest.
