I would picture it like: Hylafax >=[Serial/RS232]=>IAXModem>=[IAX/ulaw]=>Callweaver>=[SIP/T.38]=>Peer
And vice-versa. Currently I only transmit FAX from/to PSTN, but I think it should work as long as the IAX segment is contained on the same box or at least on the same Ethernet bus. If it's not working, please, provide more info about where it's breaking and a simple test case so people can try reproducing the problem.
