HI Max,

My apologies. I was interpreting "application" in your question to
mean one of the fax applications, not all applications in the
dialplan, but i did not make that clear. Here is the dialplan that
would handle an outgoing fax call:

exten => _4NXXNXXXXXX,1,Set(CALLERID(all)=Dan Melnechuk <+17815551212>)
exten => _4NXXNXXXXXX,2,SetAccount(${BILL_ISISDESIGN})
exten => _4NXXNXXXXXX,3,Dial(SIP/1${EXTEN:[EMAIL PROTECTED])
exten => _4NXXNXXXXXX,n,Congestion()
exten => _4NXXNXXXXXX,n,Hangup
exten => _4NXXNXXXXXX,104,Congestion()
exten => _4NXXNXXXXXX,n,Hangup

This is just my normal dialplan to dial out and bill my account for US
phone calls. The "Dial()" app swaps the 4 prefix for a 1 before
dialing. SIPSERVICEOUT1 is the sip provider.

I believe i do not need T38Gateway() since my sip provider says they
have T38 outgoing working and CW should just be sending out the T38
connection to my sip provider or where ever it is told to send the
UDPTL packets. T38Gateway() is for the situation where i had analog
lines coming into CW and was using them instead of a sip provider who
supports T38. Correct?

Again what i am testing now is just outgoing fax. I "print to fax" on
my Mac which dials out on the
USB modem that is on an analog phone line that connects to a Linksys
SPA2102 which talks to CW. My CW box is connected to TSGGlobal.com as
my sip provider.

Here is the sip.conf entry for the SPA2102, line 2, that my computer
is connected to:

[spa2102-0102]
type=friend
secret=xxxxxxxxxxxxxx
context=from-internal-sip
nat=no
host=dynamic
port=5061
canreinvite=no
dtmfmode=RFC2833
dial=SIP/spa2102-0102
call-limit=1
callerid="Dan Melnechuk" <112>
disallow=all
allow=ulaw

And the SPA2102 has these settings mostly as defaults:

        FAX CED Detect Enable: yes
        FAX CNG Detect Enable: yes
        FAX Passthru Codec: G711u
        FAX Codec Symmetric: yes
        FAX Passthru Method: ReINVITE (as specified in the users manual if
want T38)
        FAX Process NSE: yes
        FAX DIsable ECAN: no (as specified in the users manual if want T38)
        FAX Enable T38: yes (as specified in the users manual if want T38 --
of course)
        FAX Tone Detect Mode: caller or callee
        FAX T38 Redundancy: 2 (was default 1 and was trying 2)

Thanks for any and all help! If you want to see the CW full log and
wireshark capture, let me know.

Peace,
Dan
