LOK BUN HEANG :Majority of Thai people respected and revered their
king as equal as Buddha. There is an unity among royal families, most
of them are well educated from Harvard, Oxford and Sorbone. These royal
families are rich and powerful big business, military, entertainment
to academia. They know how to protect to promote and to maintian its
institution very well, they own Thai land without this institution the
country of Thailand would fall apart like the old kingdom of Angkor,
Cambodia. This current dynasty(Chakry) is compared themself to the
glory reign of king Narensuon (1590-1605)who destroyed Long Vek on
January, 1594.The monarchy institution in Thailand is untouchable,
most of Thai people agreed with that, the king is sitting above
everybody and politically impartial which taking no side, but behind
the scene we do not know. Rural people mostly ethnic khmer dominated
area in North East is felt disfranchised from the main stream of Thai
society, but this guy Taksin whom parent is emmigrated from Yunan,
China became the Prime Minister and gave debt relief which wiped out
debt from these poor and unedcated North Eastern area, then he became
the god rescuer for these people, Taksin is very popular than other
Thai leaders in this era, his popular is almost equal to the king,
nobody can beat him, he is rich, well educated holding Ph.D from
America, and most popular among poor and ordinary Thai people, but his
enemies are royal group, educated urban Thai people, they know how
Taksin employing fraud political tactid luring the poor and uneducated
people into his political scams, but the main core element that
protect monarchy in Thailand which lead by Privy Council
PremThinsulanon whom regularly meet military leaders and receiving
absolute pledge from them that the soldiers are still faithful to the
king, this group is composed of all group of Thai people they are very
trustworthy to the institution. So the monarchy is very popular among
urban elite, educated and well off people in Thai society which is
constrast to Khmer most of edcated urban did not like monarchy, and
poor peasant loved monarchy, in Thailand poor, uneducated love Thai
Rak Thai party of Taksin and do not like the People Alliance organized
by Royal groups, you see how is different. Personally, I admired the
hard work of this institution to keep their kingdom alive and
independent not submit themself to anybody, they acted and organized
like the old organization of Angkor administration according to their
hierachy.Today Taksin is convicted by the court of Thailand and
imprisoned two years.Taksin rejected the verdict and accused the court
is politically motivated, his supporters are waiting to hear from him
next week live coverage via mobile TV.To see what happen to Thailand
next can it escape from this trouble or the end of this dynasty
according to fortune teller predicting that this current dynasty will
set to end within 300 years.
