Martin Luther King day has traditionally been a Day of Service--but this year, we will be organizing and participating in community service events over the entire holiday weekend: Saturday, Sunday and Monday January 17, 18 and 19. Thousands of events across the country will demonstrate the change that's possible when we all work together. Here's how you can help: *Organize a community service event: * We're looking for *non-partisan* community service events in our local area that Silicon Valley for Obama members can participate in. Think about what you interests you, whether it's the beach or bay, local school, non-profit organization, or a cause you believe in--and suggest an event. We're looking for events of all kinds and all sizes, and will support you in making them happen. Have an idea? Willing to help us organize it?
