Now let us say that Hun Sen and his government swayed toward the popularity for now. What do you think that his court is going to look like? Do you think that Hun Sen and his government allow that to happen? Now, let us assume that Mu is arrested and being put in jail. What may cause harm to Hun Sen? What may cause harm to Mu? Who is more vulnerable than whom? Let me tell you the fact. Hun Sen and his government is not going to make their court look like a kangaroo court. They are going to stand on their decision because the evidence is very clear on this case. There is no injustice. Even a weak court can judge on it. So Mu is going to jail, and she is going to loose. Look at her boss. He is facing the same problem. What is he doing ? He is betting on the pressure from the international community. Has the Cambodian government felt the pressure from the international community yet? They are not going to put their hands in there because Sam Rainsy was accused of something with facts. What sam rainsy is arguing about is something else different from that court case. Don't allow your sentiment to taint the judgement of a court.
A white police officer was convicted of a manslaughter for shooting a black man. The community has been crying for the injustice. What is the injustice? Let us look at it. Penal Code 187 states that Murder is : 1- an act of killing a human 2- with malice forethought. The jury could not find any evidence to support the malice forethought. So they could not convict him with Murder of PC187. Now let us look at Mu. She claimed that she was verbally harrassed by Hun Sen in his speech. There was no mentioning of Mu's name in that speech. So the court had to reject that claim because it was based on WHAT SHE WAS THINKING, not fact. Then she went out rampling everything creating evidence for Hun Sen to counter suit her, which he did. She lost in court. She lost on all of her appeals. So don't think that your sentiment will help her case. It won't. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cambodia Discussion (CAMDISC) - www.cambodia.org" group. This is an unmoderated forum.
