In Thailand, children of the Chinese immigrants are now running the country (Yingluck and Abhisit of Hakka tribe from China), let alone business. In Singapore, Chinese is the majority. Only Malaysia and Indonesia have succeeded in keeping indigenous putra/putri at the top of politics.
In Cambodia, I see the Khmer at the top (PM, National Assembly, Senate and King). But at the second layer, you can see a lot of children of immigrants. If I am not wrong, I do not see any children of hill tribes from N East in the cabinet or the Parliament. If the Khmer are not careful, we will see children of immigrants fighting for power in Cambodia too. Then, Khmer children will move and become migrant workers in Thailand, Malaysia and around the world. I hope they will educate themselves and become leaders in other countries too...like Obama in USA.
