Why is that? I strongly believe that Cambodia is not far different from what Sihanouk had run Cambodia. Beside, their beloved Sihanouk is a part of what it is today. I strongly believe that Cambodian human rights are in the eyes of Cambodians more than it had ever been. They know and practice about it throughout the country. Is it where most people want them to be? Ofcourse, not. Yet, the progress is tremendous. > > The flaws of Cambodia’s Constitution, which is declared that every Khmer > citizen shall be equal before the law, enjoying the same rights, freedom and > fulfilling the same obligations regardless of race … birth origin, and then > asking to respects human rights. Many of them have children who were born there. Ofcoures, they are US citizens according to the constitution. That's America. How about Cambodia? Are the children of illegal immigrants in Cambodia continue to pass their parents illegal status endlessly? I am just asking because I don't know anything about the constititution of Cambodia. As far as I have seen many rhetorics, many Cambodians feel that way. There are many children of Chinese immigrants living in Cambodia today. Almost all of them only know what their great great grand parents escaped China to live in Cambodia. Those people only know Cambodia as their country. Are those people illegal too? We have heard this kind of rhetorics from many Cambodians. Cambodian peasants and their beloved butchers slaughtered those ethnic Cambodians during their tenure while they all lived with their democratic of Kampuchea. This kind of rhetoric shows clearly how divided Cambodians are. Especially, it shows clearly how prejudice Cambodians are toward their own people. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cambodia Discussion (CAMDISC) - www.cambodia.org" group.
