Suleiman was a strong and capable leader who sought to aggressively expand the reach of his empire. Under his rule Ottoman armies captured large tracts of land in Europe, Asia, and Africa. Suleiman was feared for his military prowess, but he was also respected for his efficient leadership of the imperial government.
