* Today's Best Buy: IBM ThinkPad R51

The IBM ThinkPad R51 delivers a well-designed keyboard, expandable
design, and long battery life, all in a 5.5-pound notebook.

In our testing the R51 earned a WorldBench 5 score of 67, which is 3
percent faster than the average score for similar notebooks.

The R51's standard battery lasted almost 4 hours on one charge. Need
more time? You can swap in the extended-life replacement battery
($99). Finally, you can use either battery in combination with a
second 3.5-hour battery ($170) in the right modular bay. When you
aren't using the bay for the included optical drive or a battery, you
can insert a second hard drive.

The Wi-Fi-ready R51 has a parallel port, two USB 2.0 ports, and
FireWire and TV-out ports. IBM offers three docking options, ranging
from the simple to high end.
