We have a ford expedition and can fit three car seets in the middle and third row if necessary. It is great. We have the 2003 and absolutely love it. Actually I tend to drive it more then my husband.>>> Thanks Christina.
Unfortunately (or fortunately, lol) we aren't looking for anything as big as a Suburbun or Expedition and because of the gas mileage I worry about getting a Tahoe (also, though Darrell would LOVE one and it sounds like something that would be big enough, I don't think we could get one at the price we are looking at!). Since it is just going to be a second vehicle for Darrell to drive to work and stuff we rarely will we need to fit 3 carseats in it....but we need it to be able to just in case. He was just going to buy a Chevy Pick-up but then we realized that, for a couple reasons, we needed an extended cab or an SUV type vehicle with lots of storage space (if it came with a 3rd row, then it would need to be able to come out). Darrell would love a 4 wheel drive with a tow hitch so we could use it if we go camping or motorcycle riding but I don't think that is a necessary expense at this time, especially where we live (on the California coast where
we get NO snow). lol I told him that I want something good on gas mileage too!! Don't know if we can get all that though (and I don't want to pay more than $10K, though I know it may end up being closer to $15K). We are buying used this time because we bought 2 NEW vans last year (our Honda Odyssey which I love and our Chevy Cargo Van for work, which only has one passanger seat). I hate to even add another car payment, even if small, because up until recently, Darrell has driven the Chevy van to and from work and that was all we needed (thought at times it has been inconvenient if I needed him to take both kids). Now with our new route driver gone all day 4 days a week with his van, he needs something at the office to drive. Thanks again for any feedback!
