Hi Stephen ,
Apart from the xml / xsl using, you can simply read the excel file sheet by sheet, and using the business logic, it can be transposed to more inteligent format.
As for my work, i followd the following steps.
1) Create excel object
2) Read excel file in dataset
3) Used business logic
4) Save the data in another excel file

Subject: Load Data from an Excel Sheet
I have an intergrated price file that needs to update our existing
system.
We manufacture modular equipment so when you mix & match various parts
your
coming up with a unique combination <PART #> and price.
My starting excel sheet is at best an xml layout with a few pieces of
crud
in node 1.
Root = 442
Node 1
Chelsea Basic Model Node 2 Node3 4 Node 5 Node6
442**AB 5-P-1001 A 629.48
Next series in same sheet:
Mounting Options Node 2 Node 3
node4 Node5 node6
G Standard Mount W/Metric
Studs 6.56
Here is a series with dirty data in node 1
Shift Options
1 A Air Shift
147.14
V Air Shift Less Installation
Kit 74.84
21 S PTO & Pump Combo Valve
316.25
So how would you bring in this data that has to be parsed row by row
for the
update process?
TIA
Stephen Russell
