I find it interesting that while we've been ramping up discussions on this mailing list, for good or ill depending on how we see things, contributions on the wiki have actually taken a major drop over the last week or so.
Steve, your points are well taken. We should try to ignore off-topic posts. But, at the same time, we're being told that we should be willing to engage people in any medium at any time in order to stay active in the global political debate. That's why I originally responded to Rob's first post, and I regret that I took the bait. So here's a question. What can I do, or what can we do on this list or in other places, to encourage people to actually help build the wikia site? It's not happening right now. I'd love to know why, and what I can do to change it. Did Wikipedia have these kinds of lulls in the first few years? What was done to help? We're putting out a press release on November 2nd about the status and plans for Campaigns.Wikia. Please add your thoughts on what we can put in that press release that will get people to come to the site and contribute. http://www.wikia.com/wiki/User:Chadlupkes/Campaigns_Press_Release_20061102 Chad _______________________________________________ Campaigns-l mailing list [email protected] http://lists.wikia.com/mailman/listinfo/campaigns-l
