I find it interesting that while we've been ramping up discussions on
this mailing list, for good or ill depending on how we see things,
contributions on the wiki have actually taken a major drop over the
last week or so.

Steve, your points are well taken.  We should try to ignore off-topic
posts.  But, at the same time, we're being told that we should be
willing to engage people in any medium at any time in order to stay
active in the global political debate.  That's why I originally
responded to Rob's first post, and I regret that I took the bait.

So here's a question.  What can I do, or what can we do on this list
or in other places, to encourage people to actually help build the
wikia site?  It's not happening right now.  I'd love to know why, and
what I can do to change it.  Did Wikipedia have these kinds of lulls
in the first few years?  What was done to help?

We're putting out a press release on November 2nd about the status and
plans for Campaigns.Wikia.  Please add your thoughts on what we can
put in that press release that will get people to come to the site and
contribute.
