I use Acronis True Image (lovely software). Good for backups of part or whole partitions, will create a Linux partition and place it's program and backups there (if you wish), so a restore is just F11 key when you boot - ideal for those corrupted C: drives - can also store the program as a bootable CD, and restore from DVDs. I have an image of a fresh WindowsXP Pro install, with all drivers and favourite programs (and Windows activated) compressed on 1 DVD - I can restore the whole C: drive back to the fresh install in 10 mins flat :-) Ron Jones Process Safety & Development Specialist Don't repeat history, unreported chemical lab/plant near misses at http://www.crhf.org.uk Only two things are certain: The universe and human stupidity; and I'm not certain about the universe. ~ Albert Einstein
