I've been using these in Canalplan.  Not this full set yet - I've been
more interested in getting the code working.   The developmental version
of the gazetteer (currently at
http://www2.mihalis.net/canal/cgi-bin/newgaz.cgi) uses them a lot more -
you can say things like "find the nearest supermarket of any sort within
half a mile of the canal and on a place within 10 miles cruising from
here".   And people can add their own finds as well.
