I don't know what tube lines you're using Adrian, but on the Northern close to London Bridge you have difficulty in rush hour moving your legs to walk, let alone swinging a briefcase. There, anyone moving against the tide is liable to be crushed underfoot, or at the very best, physically lifted by the thronging swell of humanity and deposited back at their starting point.
