It might help if it emphasised strongly that life is not in fact safe, and 
that it is quite easy to die of stupidity. The press could help when such 
things happen by rather than eulogising another "promising young 
footballer", point out that removing yourself from the gene pool by, for 
example, coming into contact with 25 kV catenery which someone has helpfully 
placed out of accidental reach, is in fact a really stupid thing to do.

Incidentally, I don't know if it's the same in England, but going by the 
Scottish press, promising young footballers seem to have a very limited life 
expectancy.
