Then there was the boat with a large dog which, standing on the top if its
boat, barked non-stop while glaring at the steerers of the two boats in the
lock. All this while standing just out of reach of its large steerer/owner who
yelled SHUT UP non-stop at the dog. (A few days later we saw them sharing with
another boat with dog and owner still in full voice.)

Not us, guv:
a) Tain't black
b) It goes out of the engine 'ole roof (naturally), and
vanishes up out of the lock
I also hate sharing locks with petrol engined thingies.
