The lovely lawn and house upstream from the public moorings were once all 
part of the same property.  I think it must have been sometime in the 1960s 
or 70s that half of the lawn was fenced off and given to the public as 
moorings.

My parents always referred to it as Mrs Lindsay's Lawn.  I always assumed 
that the lawn had been split up when she died.
