Date - 25 April 2007
Day - Wednesday
Start - Napton Engine Arm 1615
End - Fenny Compton Wharf 1925

We arrived at the boat and immediately winded her and reversed back to the
lock so we could load up. We moored just above the lock moorings but
even so a hire boat coming down stopped above us and walked down to work
the lock, I may have well been on the lock mooring and saved walking the
extra bit.
We pushed off at quarter past four and just as we approached Marston Dole
bottom lock a boat was coming out. We didn't see another boat on the
move until we reached Wormleighton and then we met another couple.
The working boat Bletchely was moored just above Marston Dole top lock
and was advertising diesel at 48p/lt unfortunately there was no one
about or I would have bought 150 lt.
Shortly before Wormleighton a cow on the offside had just had twins, one
of them was snow white. At Fenny there is the normal collection of boats
not displaying a valid licence on the long term BW moorings, we have
slipped in at the beginning of the 14 day moorings just after the pub.
