Perhaps Martin C will be embarrassed at his failing to meet with 
expectations!

I have just said in another reply that you are more likely to know than 
me!

Looking through my recent(ish) photos, the only thing I can spot which 
might be evidence is something that looks a bit like an overspill hole 
above Lock 86 (Canal Street)

(on the right of the photo) but the lip of this is higher than the tops 
of the gates!
