I know you know this, but the EFRA sub-committee is Parliament, not Government. If you look at its members, as it happens, it's actually a very long way from Government - David Drew was one of just 20 or so John McDonnell supporters, Peter Soulsby one of a similar number (of Labour MPs) to vote for an Iraq inquiry. cheers Richard
