Our summer trip is still at the early planning stage, but one option
which is getting serious consideration involves going the long way to
Bristol from the G&S and then returning up the Severn. Now, the problem
is, we'll almost certainly need to leave the boat somewhere near
Bradford -on -Avon or Bath or Bristol for a couple of weeks due to lack
of holiday and problems in timing the trip to coincide with a propitious
tide. Does anyone have recommendations of marinas in that area which
aren't too expensive?

Alternatively, Bristol Harbour appears to charge £8 / m for fifteen
days. Are visitor moorings for a 52' boat likely to be available late
August / early September? Are the visitor moorings secure? (I might be
tempted to commute to work from Bristol for a week or two!).

Wassail!
