Well there is bobbing about, and then there is banging about. It's
difficult to define what is acceptable with regards to amount of water
movement, but then you also have poorly moored boats which will slowly
slide forward, catch on a rope and lean over, then bounce back again
again suddenly stopping when the rope tightens.

If I see that a boat has loose ropes I will slow down a bit more. By
the way if anyone uses the centre rope for long term mooring then
don't be surprised when the boat leans over, and don't complain
either!
