Well, despite me being a great fan of the person who *did*  I was unaware of 
the fact until recently. Just as I was unaware of the fact that he wrote [Is 
this the way to]  Amarillo?   I was at a concert given by him @ the Royal 
Albert Hall when a man walked on stage from the Guinness Book Of Records to 
present him with a plaque for writing the "most successful song of the 21st 
century" 
  He then performed that song, then Tony Christie appeared & sang it but sadly, 
Peter Kay didn't put in an appearance!
