How many nights per year are the "low users" allowed to spend on their
boats?

Having now exhausted their faltering property empire and sitting on the time
bomb of failing structures BW and its trade pals are now milking the boaters
for all they are worth. This is Railtrack style management...only worse.

Am I really going to come back to this part of the UK with Earnest in a
couple of years time?...when a 60ft mooring in a half decent marina will be
£4000+ a year and std BW canal and river licence £2000+?

I have tried in my letter to Robin Evans to explain to him what will happen
and where they are missing out on funding, but it will fall on deaf ears.

I just cannot believe there will not now be a waterways recession, what ever
happens "British" Waterways will have changed beyond all recognition within
a couple of years.

I should imagine my marina on the SEW in ROI will have gone up a bit,
probaby to just under £1000 a year and licence registration for Shannon will
still be free....oh... I must not go on or hoards of British narrowboatrers
will come over here and spoil it...but then the Grand / Royal / Barrow could
loose a couple of thousand narrowboats and might give the Waterways Ireland
staff something to do, instead of "capturing" the odd boat they see every
month. Yep, and the mugs in the "United" Kingdom pay 15% towards WI for the
NI component. It will be interesting to see what the BW (Scotland) licence
fee increases will be, seeing as the Scot Exec (funded by all UK) gives
extra support to BW (Scotland).
