A worthwhile visit, albeit a bit away from the canal [perhaps you'd like to stretch your legs!] is to Bletchley Park. We tied up at Fenny Stratford lock, and walked--it's about half an hour, and took the guided tour, cost about 10 GBP for adults. Check out the web site at http://www.bletchleypark.org.uk/ . I admit that I moaned about it until I got there, and was completely enthralled by the visit and the exhibits. The guides are all volunteers, and VERY knowledgeable about the estate. For those who do not know, Bletchley Park was the wartime site of the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ) and the place where the German Enigma codes were broken. A novel, "The Ultra Secret", by william Stephenson [a Canadian, btw], and the movie "Enigma" were based on the exploits of the codebreakers. We took a taxi back to the boat. Enjoy your cruise!
