Some people have got up to Shardlow, where there was historically a wharf. We only went a short distance above Cavendish Bridge, then wimped out, saving it for another day when the Trent was up...which never came. Brian Dominic took Rumpus up the Derwent, to the "Fireworks Factory" within sight of the weir. If you get onto the Trent, we went up beyond Trent Bridge as far as Clifton Bridge. ISTR that Chris Deuchar has been up the Trent loop, bypassed by the River Devon / Newark Dyke...I dunno how far. -- Neil Arlidge NB Earnest - Out of it.
