Ahh, but that was then. I now have a very nice hinged section in the back deck which allows easy access to the weed hatch and batteries. This is trapped in the closed position when the rear doors are shut, so is perfectly secure. Anyone who does as much cruising as I do needs to be able to easily clear the blade from the assorted crud in the canals. Terry Streeter NB Arun - Watford
