They don't have rivers up there any more: they have lakes, with a few houses sticking up .... One of the newspapers had a photo (which I can't find online, but there is a youtube thingie) of water flowing out of the grounds of St Flannan's College in Ennis, over the boundary wall. An update on Ennis here: http://www.breakingnews.ie/ireland/eymhojmhojoj/rss2/ Gort was flooded too and the N18 was closed. More rain is forecast. bjg
