It already is An ANPR equipped traffic car can, in a matter of seconds, find out automatically whether a car has insurance, MOT and/or road tax and whether it has a registered keeper. Ditto an ANPR van - half the time what peeps think are speed trap vans are actually ANPR vans Not sure if there are any fixed ANPR sites yet (and not sure how it would work anyway) IMO, ANPR is a far better way to spend money on road safety than speed cameras Bru
