Indeed so, I went over at Wheelock on Sunday, but the ground seems
better than it was.

My previous message was obviously tempting fate as I've seen two boats
moving since I sent it. One off the Macc heading down the hill and
Cactus has just moored behind me having come up from Malkin's Bank.
They're aiming for Weston tomorrow but I doubt it somehow having seen
the ice in the Trentham area yesterday. There is no ice at all here,
would Harecastle warm the water enough to stop ice forming, or is it
some strange property of the coloured water? Either way it's pretty
effective as there is no ice at all this side of Rode Heath.
