It was a lunch time stop (off the M6) at Glasson last summer that
prompted the interest in the Lancaster trip. Now Glasson Marina is a
candidate for a 2 or 3 week stopover whilst UM is up that way.

We are looking fwd to it.

Hi Beeky,

You will enjoy the Lancaster .. once you join the Ribble Link, you are reminded
of the African Queen as you pass under London Bridge. You may need to don your
protective headgear as you pass the golf course though :-)

There are also moorings at the top of the Glasson flight at Galgate. There are
private moorings on the opposite side of the towpath. We stayed there for a
week and had no sign of any bother.

May I suggest that when you are rejoining the Ribble link that you traverse the
3 locks backwards as it is far easier to leave the bottom one.
