I would suggest an overnight near Chirk or Trevor and thus aim to reach
Llangollen around lunchtime. This means you arrive there after those who are
leaving Llangollen in the morning are gone but before the late afternoon
arrivals start looking for moorings. As you have only two locks to do I
wouldn't worry unduly about them.
Please don't get over concerned about trip planning, just relax and enjoy -
after all you know when you half time is and the advantage is that you will
come back quicker than the outward journey - perhaps even 1 to 2 mph quicker!
