I refer the honourable gentleman to the occasion of September 18, 2008.
LT was moored somewhere near Turner's Green on the Northern GU pointing
towards Warwick. I passed at the agreed hour of 8.45am to be greeted by
a sight which, for the sake of those of a nervous disposition, I shall
not describe here. After waiting for some time in Hatton Top, LT
finally hove into view and we set off down the flight. To his credit,
the honourable gentleman did sterling work lock wheeling so that Wendy
and I were able to descend the flight in a timely fashion, leaving the
bottom lock at around 1.40pm. "Why don't we stop at the cape for a
couple of pints and something to eat?" called the honourable gentleman.
Some 90 minutes later we set off for Leamington Spa and, after a stop
for shopping, moored at 6pm in the middle of nowhere. "Good TV signal
here" came the call. "I've just got time to get the aerial set up
before corrie comes on".

The prosecution rests its case.
