Well, there's a precedent: Great Britain won two of the three gold medals in the motorboating events at the 1908 Olympics.
Sadly our achievements appear slightly less impressive when it transpires that (a) only one other country took place in the events (France), (b) it took place in a howling gale which meant that in each race only one boat finiahed at all, and (c) the Games were held in Britain which apparently meant that tbe Brits had rather a lot of influence in which sports would be included...
