When we go to Queens Head we will study the area more closely. Of course we have spent time working out where we can travel on Uncle Mort but overlooked the Monty. I'm increasingly interested in where other folks can't or don't go ! Ref Llangollen - we had considered a 5am start so we could have it to ourselves but, despite the encouragement from other quarters, we are resolved to get the bus and walk back along the canal. We've had enough boat aggro recently and are in whimp mode with the debacle-averse setting at maximum. The passage through the local aqueducts and tunnels have been embarassingly slow against the flow. I reckon even if the flow is only 1/2 mph we'll get through in considerably less than half the time on the return passage. Beeky
