For example communication with the yahoo IM and jabber: a yahoo message comes in -> normaly 2 yahoo messangers conect direct via ip and communicate. -> because of the direct connection damaged code can come into your intranet. yahoo connect to a jabber server -> this server translate to a component gateway. -> damaged code what like to come into your network can be easy blocked -> no direct ip connection betwheen the 2 clients. I am also using zope/Plone NG> and am curious :) Sorry because of possible missunderstandings. I use plugins in a way that they independent in developement and use for other software. In this special way a company developed a special program under GPL license. There are running installations in hospitals. They develope in java servlets. The implementation they do in the hospitals and they pay for support. Because of GPL the hospitals are allowed to change the code to their needs. They gave me the code that it is free available and other developers can use it. You can't find it to download normaly in the internet. The application is a windows exe. I hope the company is soon be able to provide me with information. They are used no cvs at the moment and i like to substitute to set up the code to SF CVS and to provide a demo. For this demo i need the ports.
