Of course there is a need for strong control in any important "Order" or "Request for Services" :
- ( 1 ) Authentification and control of who is allowed to give given kinds of Orders, as well for who of the patients population.
- ( 2 ) Digital signature of the author.
- ( 3 ) A journal of all the events, including all the Request for Services.
- ( 4 ) Agreements from legal authorities about the procedures.
Lawyers should realize that manual signatures in the traditional way ar far from reliable. The pharmacist has in fact few possibility to verify.
This applies in general to a wide range of Orders, as well from ordering dangerous or expensive tests, as well to prescriptions of important drugs or sugery.

We would need to include in the script the physicians DEA number, a relationship to all narcotics or controlled substances that will create a log of scripts for review at the end of the day written by this physician to head off improper or forged scripts.
