Nandalal Gunaratne,

NG> about the care2X CD, What is in it re care2x and what
NG> else is there?

Base is a Knoppix Version 3 or 4

Than there is at the beginning the question:
why a CD and who needs it.

Only a demo for a quick few or a something that is usefull for regular
use the CD.

If you reduce it to the first aspect, than take a mini linux with
apache, mysql php and care2x only needs 50 - 100 mb space only.

you can use it from command line and connect to another pc.

good idea only to boot it from a usb stick at one pc and let it run
use it together with a second pc as client.

Who needs it realy? :-)
Make it sence?

Second concept shows:

A Knoppix CD - or DVD

Who needs it and for what... This give at least the result how to
design it.

If once like to use it at regular base for installing different
network tools without a time consumpting configuration designed for
beginners in Linux you have to keep a lot of attention how more
experienced users use it.
Because they realy like to install it at their harddisk.
-And they do-

NG> A light version for quick download maybe a good idea
NG> as a whole 700MB CD takes a long time to download....

The initial version now i am experiment include a Knoppix V3
contains KDE, Apache, PHP, GD, Image Magic, Perl, including CPAN
Libaries Postfix as Mailserver
Clamav, Spam Assasign the OTRS Ticket system and give the posibility
to store easy the Data at harddisk or USB stick.

250 MB

If i like to run the Xymian Evolution what i personal like to run i
need a lot of parts of the Gnome libaries.

+80 MB
----
380 MB

Run Care2x without the Plugins:

20-30 MB

Incuding the Wiki with data.... Wikipedia??? and so on...

Open Office???

Make it short.

I like to hear inside the discussion the group who shall use it and
the suggestions.

###
After it i can say what is includet. How much space it needs. Not before.
###

If there are different interests we need a team to share the knowledge
and experience. This team can make a project and time plan at which
date the different things have a Roll Out.
Open Source its not a one man show.

I hope the jabber workflow engine will be ready in 2 weeks.
Prof. Starmer from Musc university is at the moment in france.
Then we test some demo.

Some screenshots from the old demo:
http://bfs.itlab.musc.edu/work_flow/docs/broadcast_flow.htm

the design will based on the studies of prof. Starmer: learning and
forgetting.

All in xml.
