Hi,

there is no question about hl7 inside Care2x. It will be used simply based on 
the fact that hl7 is being used by other applications and Care2x must be able 
to communicate with every kind of interface as possible. Just like the 
abstraction layer for database. It is sad that there is still no such thing 
as abstraction layer for health communication (oh, could be a new open-source 
project, any takers?).

Anyway, for those who are in need of hl7 capability, you should develop your 
components based on your actual needs. You can simplify your work by using 
the php_hl7 tools and you can communicate with Docu Dokter for eventual 
assistance.
