Hello Everyone

Claudio;

Thanks for all the efforts you have made throughout to make care2x a better
product.

Mauri;
Is there any list being maintained about the Hospitals that are using
Care2x.

Regards
Zeeshan Aziz

Dear Claudio,
I'm very sorry to hear that but I can also understand the reasons for
your stepping down from the RM position.
Just yesterday I visited the care2x/foundry and only the login was
working. The rest of the modules were non-operational.
Was this because someone deliberately erased the modules or because the
code keeps collapsing?
FireFox 3b2 no longer recognizes the diacritics on the care2x site
anymore...
I am very fond of the project, there are tons of things to do and I feel
very frustrated in not being able to collaborate with the "hard" part.
Thank you very much for your efforts and keep in touch!
Daniel

Dear All,

I think one of the reasons for the present situation is that hospital
software needs quite heavy
customization on local requirements. During the past 5 years I have seen
many active people
here and then the dissappear. I think many put their resources and time to
work on their local
version like we have done and little is left for the main branch. Hospital
software is not like
"packet softwares" where interests are commonly shared and it is easy to
build a big user
and beneficiaries group. This software tends to fork out to different
versions.

I think response to Claudios mail gives a hint how many are active on this
main branch or
follow the discussion on this list. I would be interested to know how many
Care2x
systems are used in real hospitals. Our East African version is implemented
in 4 hospitals
and can be expanded to many more as MOH is starting to demand more reliable
and
transparen reporting. The main issue here is not the software itself but the
slow
implementation prosess.

Dear Claudio,

I apologize for not responding to this email of yours right away. I never
got the original email but only
the response of Dr. Hinostroza. It was probably one those glitches at
sf.net mailer.

I understand your decision to discontinue working as a release manager. I
know that it is not
easy and requires a lot of work. And you did a lot of work for this
project. For that, I and the rest of
the group are very thankful. We highly appreciate the work you did in
releasing the previous
versions. Also we appreciate the work you did in setting up the subversion
system for the project.

Thank you very much. We hope that you still join the discussions and help us
with your advises.

Very sincerely,

Elpidio

Claudio,
perhaps can you continue as release manager until the alpha release of
care2x v 3.0 on Feb 29, 2008?
Maybe you can assign tasks and we can sign-up for them as testers.
That way, you can resign with a complete release.
All the very best,
Daniel
