Can you please post the debug log with the PHP-Proxy enabled? This is
the only way to narrow down the issue remotely without setting up the
whole software myself ;)
For me as a phpCAS developer the only real option is to check the debug
logs for clues why the lib might be failing or if someone made a bad
integration based on the function calls/traces i can see.
-Is your imap server casified with the modified pam lib?
-Is your service proxy enabled in the service manager (cas server gui)
As to the egroupware version i have no idea. I have never used
egroupware and i'm not sure how stable or good their integration is.
There are so many apps out their using phpCAS that it's hard to keep
track of them all..
Have you also posted your issues on any egroupware mailing list? These
application specific problems are pretty hard to answer if you don't run
them yourself.
Cheers,
Joachim

Actually, what i did was to configure CAS through the egroupware setup
menu and there is an option within the CAS menu that is "Authentication
Mode" and has two possible values (PHP-Client and PHP-Proxy).
I choosed "php-client" the first time and it didn't work. After reading
your email when you say "You need to use proxy() and
intead of client() before your can can get proxy tickets." i choosed
"PHP-Proxy" instead of "PHP-Client" but it didn't work either.
I'm not touching anything else, only the setup menu in the CAS section.
At the moment i'm using egroupware 1.8, do you think i should try with
egroupware 1.8?

er. This will not work
and is the reason domxml error. You can see the first signs in the
lines
above where the pgt= paramter is empty. You need to use proxy() and
intead of client() before your can can get proxy tickets.
